Located just 30 minutes East of Portland, Bridal Veil Lakes is a Columbia River Gorge wedding venue full of opportunities to make your wedding day YOURS. And let me tell you, the stuff I’ve seen couples do here is amazing. I once photographed a groom who made his grand entrance by paddling across the lake in a canoe!
A standout feature of Bridal Veil Lakes is the ceremony setting – a vibrantly green and lush lawn tucked into the forest that opens onto views of the mirrored private sping-fed lake.
Bridal Veil Lakes is absolutely STUNNING if you’re dreaming of golden hour wedding photos. During sunsets, the golden hour light hits the distant views of the Columbia River Gorge just right, creating an ethereal glow that makes every photo look like a painting.

The closest major airport to Bridal Veil Lakes is the Portland International Airport (PDX) in Portland, Oregon. It’s an approximately 30 minute drive one-way from PDX to Bridal Veil Lakes. A rental car is recommended for getting to this venue from Portland.
How to Drive to Bridal Veil Lakes
If you’re coming from Portland (Eastbound)
Take I-84 East to Exit 28 “Bridal Veil” At the fork, stay to the right, continue 1 mile on Historic Highway Westbound. Bridal Veil Scenic Viewpoint State Park is on the right, turn left onto the gravel road just after the park (Henderson Rd.). From here you’ll continue to follow the signs to Bridal Veil Lakes, for about 1 mile until you reach the parking lot. Note as you get closer to the venue, arrows will point you through a one-way route. When you leave for the night, continue following the arrows out from the parking lot.
If you’re coming from Hood River (Westbound)
Take I-84 West to Exit 35 “Dodson”. Follow Historic Highway Westbound for 8 miles. Bridal Veil Scenic Viewpoint State Park is on the right, turn left on to the gravel road just after the park (Henderson Rd.). From here you’ll continue to follow the signs to Bridal Veil Lakes, for about 1 mile until you reach the parking lot. Note as you get closer to the venue, arrows will point you through a one-way route. When you leave for the night, continue following the arrows out from the parking lot.

Special discounts for select dates include the following:

Full-day access from 9:00 AM to midnight. Flexible catering options to hire your own caterer or self-cater. $750 security deposit required, due at time of reservation.
